Tad bit spoilery for anyone watching this show on FX this side of the pond, but this was outstanding. There hasn’t been a bigger game changer for genre television since Buffy The Vampire Slayer. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend you go watch American Horror Story:Asylum. Right now. The Great thing is you don’t even have to watch the first season because its practically a different show. If you like clever, thought provoking entertainment, then get watching.

Come for the shock and the gore, but stay for the artistic merit. After this complete WTF moment, I was left with the strangest melancholic array of emotions, completely speechless. This, along with the poetic death scenes in the episode really set the bar for television in 2013, and only two days in. Bring on the last three episodes!

Ex-Singer with the legendary punk band The Misfits, Michale Graves, is releasing not one but TWO new albums in 2013. One of them, a return to his horror punk roots, ‘The Lost Skeleton Returns” is in the process of being funded (and you can get involved here). The other, Vagabond, to which I kindly donated some of my time helping with promotion by designing the above graphic (It fits nice as a facebook cover photo, go on, download and try it out!) is available for pre-order here The latter album will be an evolution of the more mellow sound that Michale has been experimenting with in recent years.
Happy Halloween! I just graduated on Friday. It’s hard to believe my days as a digital media student have finally come to a close… sad-face. I’m working on a show reel at the minute. A lot harder a task than you might think. Trying to condense four years worth of short films, animations and motion graphics pieces down to 3 minutes is not easy! Better get back to it…

This is a short preview from the DVD of ‘Goofs Gaff Live’. I operated one of the cameras on the night and was part of the editing team for the DVD. There’s going to be a screening next week in the RCC in Letterkenny . There are some great local acts on the disc.
“Earlier this year, the set for locally produced YouTube phenomenon, Goof’s Gaff, was painstakingly recreated to host a charitable night at the Regional Cultural Centre and a series of the gaff trademark live musical performances were filmed. The resulting film features performances by a host of local unsigned artists including In Their Thousands, The Heads Of State, Liam Deery, The McBeth Sisters, Simon McCafferty and Lelia Keeney. Goofs Gaff will be screening a 60-minute preview edit of the film at the RCC on Culture Night at 6:00pm. It will be repeated at 7:00pm, 8:00pm and 9:00pm. the completed DVD will be launched later this year.” …CultureNight.ie
